Welcome to another edition of the Stewardship Journal.

Is Online Giving Biblical? That is a great question and the title of our lead post. A member might have told you that online giving wasn’t mentioned in the Bible. If so, this post will be helpful. Our position, which this post shares, is that the how of the offering, plate, bucket, basket, or online is irrelevant. This post could be helpful the next time someone challenges online giving.

Mark Brooks, The Stewardship Coach, has been on vacation for the last couple of weeks. But before he left, he wrote a column entitled The Coach’s Summer Recurring Giving Issue, with interesting facts on how your church can save money by increasing recurring giving.

This week’s Bonus Section, entitled How To Use May for a Recurring Giving Drive, gives practical reasons and ideas on increasing recurring giving. Taking these steps could mean a difference in July.
