From My Desk to Yours

From My Desk to Yours

We are going to help you improve your giving appeals and give you reasons why the Cooperative Program is worth giving to in this edition of the Stewardship Journal! Here is a preview of this week’s edition.

Mark Brooks, The Stewardship Coach, begins our posts this week by continuing his series on the various lanes you need to build out strategies to enhance stewardship at your church. This week, his focus is on making appeals for giving with a post entitled How to Make Appeals Appealing. If your appeals don’t capture the hearts and minds of your donors, they will fall on deaf ears. Mark shares with you the importance of thinking through every appeal letter, email, or text you send.

In our Bonus Section, entitled The Coach’s Appeal Tip Page, Mark gives practical tips and advice on how to improve the appeals you are led to send out. He shares his 3 C’s of vision and top 10 writing tips for appeals. This page would be great to send to your creative team or simply for your use.

“Believing that we are Better Together, we desire for every church to be an engaged partner in Gospel ministry fueled by the Cooperative Program.” That is a quote from Michael Cabell Kentucky’s assistant to the executive director for Convention Relations with the Kentucky Baptist Convention in a recent Baptist Press release. We have re-posted that article entitled Reengagement With CP Expands Impact, Brings Churches Out of Isolation. Michael does a great job of pointing out the positive benefits of CP giving. We agree that we are better together!

So, thanks again for taking the time to read the Journal. And remember, all past Journal posts can be found at https://stewardshipjournal.com/. Let’s get your church fully funded!

In Jesus’ name!
