Welcome to another Stewardship Journal!

Few, if any, pastors think six weeks ahead about the Easter offering. Yet, that is exactly what we want you to do with this week’s edition of the Stewardship Journal. Let’s Make Your Easter Offering Special is our lead post and you could also say that it is the theme of the entire Journal. Our goal is to help you begin a conversation around how to make this year’s Easter offering time one that will help your church both now and in the future.

Why should you start planning for an Easter offering is the question that Mark Brooks, The Stewardship Coach, knows he must answer. He meets this challenge head-on in his post entitled Making the Case for Easter Offering Planning. It’s the first in a mini-series on Easter offerings.

To help your church begin Easter offering preparation, this week’s Bonus Section is The Why Vision Worksheet. It is a great discussion starter for your staff or finance team.

With Saint Patrick’s Day around the corner, this week’s Mission and Ministry talk is entitled How to Become a Saint! The talk tells the story of a rich boy named Patrick, who spurned his wealth to serve Ireland. The talk is a great example of taking a current event and linking that back to giving.
