From the Desk of Our Executive Director
Welcome to another edition of the Stewardship Journal.
It’s time to start thinking and planning out your Annie Armstrong Offering! Millions of dollars have been raised to support our work in North America. There is perhaps no greater illustration of the collective power of giving to missions than the SBC’s annual missions offerings. We lead this Journal with a word from Brad Delaughter, the Lead Pastor of FBC DeSoto. The title of Brad’s post is An Easter Blessing. Brad gives us three suggestions that will improve your Annie Armstrong offering.
Mark Brooks’ Stewardship Coach column is titled The Value of Donor Segmentation. Donor Segmentation is a fundraising term. Should churches segment their donors? Mark makes a case for segmenting your donors in his post and then gives you practical tips on the what and why of segmenting donors.
This week’s Bonus Section is entitled Segmentation by the Numbers. Here Mark shares how to identify your top-tier donors and gives suggestions on retaining them and impacting them toward greater generosity. Retaining existing donors while we train the next generation of donors is essential to keep our mission moving forward.
Remember, we have moved all Missions and Ministry talks from the weekly Stewardship Journal site to Mark’s Stewardship Coach platform. As a pastor/leader in the MBC, you can access hundreds of talks for free. This is part of our efforts to help you create a culture of generosity built upon biblical stewardship principles so that all of us can continue,
Advancing the Gospel!
