How important is prayer when it comes to raising funds? That is the question we probe with this issue of the Stewardship Journal. We are continuing our series on how to do your capital campaign entitled Giving Away the Farm. We are giving you, for free, the key steps you need to hold a capital campaign. Here is a preview of what is in this week’s issue.

Mark Brooks, The Stewardship Coach, starts us off with a post entitled It’s Not Fund Raising, It’s Faith Raising. Mark shares the difference between the two. He states, “Make prayer a key element of your capital campaign giving strategy because a successful church capital campaign is not fund-raising but faith-raising!” Let’s start faith-raising!

Mark’s Bonus Section is titled Pray the Money In! He provides you with practical reasons and approaches for praying for your offerings and your capital campaign results. Are you regularly praying over giving at your church? This post will show you how to pray for giving in a practical and effective way.

Dr. Ronnie Floyd writes our final post, How To Integrate Prayer In A Capital Campaign. Dr. Floyd has written much on the importance of prayer. In this post, Dr. Floyd draws on his years of pastoral experience holding capital campaigns on how to lead a congregation to pray and how a pastor should pray. It’s a great post on prayer, and we are blessed to have it on our pages.

As always, we want to remind you that all past posts are accessible at https://stewardshipjournal.com. You have permission to copy and distribute the various posts within your church organizations to your staff, finance team, or other committees. The goal of the Journal is to be the go-to source for SBC leaders when it comes to all things stewardship-related. Let’s get your church fully funded!

In Jesus’ name!
