Welcome to another edition of the Stewardship Journal.

We are days away from the annual SBC Convention. Mark Brooks starts the lead post in this week’s Stewardship Journal, sharing a question a reporter asked him years ago. What will you do if your side loses? He shares important lessons for all of us as we approach this Convention and its aftermath in an article entitled The Strength of the SBC Lies in the Local Church. This is an important read whether you will be attending the Convention or not.

“Could your church be in trouble without you knowing it?” That is the question Mark asks in his Stewardship Coach column. His column is entitled 9 Questions to Evaluate Your Church’s Giving Health. He states, “If you are not current on your financial data and metrics, you could be heading for financial ruin. Take time to ask these nine questions and then act upon what you find. The life you save might be the life of your church!”

This week’s Bonus Section continues Mark’s topic of knowing your giving by sharing The Importance of Knowing Your Giving Metrics. Mark shares key points on how you can analyze your giving metrics.
