Welcome to another Stewardship Journal! For the last few weeks, the Journal has had a focus on budget planning. We continue that in this week’s edition.

The Power of a Story is our lead post. The post shares how to help create stories to better communicate how your budget will impact lives. What is your story? Find out how to use that story to help you make your budget in the coming year.

Mark Brooks, The Stewardship Coach, continues his series on budget preparation and how the economy could impact giving in his post entitled Good Vision Trumps Bad Economy! Mark shares how connecting your vision to giving will increase not only the amount given but will increase the number of people giving. With all of us facing a challenging economy, this is a helpful post to read.

This week’s Bonus Section is entitled Let’s Make a Case for Your Vision! Here you will find practical advice on how to make the case for giving by crafting a vision that will touch the hearts of donors.

One way to link your vision to giving is by weekly having what we call a Mission and Ministry Moment before the offering time. We provide you with a “talk” each week. This week’s Mission and Ministry offering section is entitled First Things First.
