Welcome to another Stewardship Journal!

Giving to the Cooperative Program is experiencing record highs! That is what Baptist Press reported back in early February. That is, of course, good news. Yet, if we probe beneath those numbers we find some startling facts that might alter future CP reports. Our team leads off our Journal this week with some thoughts about this positive report in a post entitled, The Question No One is Asking About (But They Should!). Find out the questions you should be asking.

Then, here is a preview of the rest of the Stewardship Journal.

Mark Brooks, The Stewardship Coach, is always thinking about how the season and times of a church will impact giving. This week his post is entitled It’s Time to Start Thinking Summer Giving. It is the first of a series on planning out a summer giving strategy. We believe that, by following Mark’s practical advice, your church can have its best summer giving ever.

This week’s Bonus Section is entitled The Seasonal Giving Strategy. The post shows how to use the calendar to build out an effective giving strategy.

Easter is just around the corner! This week’s Mission and Ministry uses the story of Jesus’ Triumphal entry on Palm Sunday to build a case for the offering. This week’s talk is entitled, Every Gift is a Big Deal.

Remember, if you know of someone that would like to receive the Journal, please send them this link for easy signup https://mobaptist.org/stewardship/stewardship-journal/.

You can help us make this Journal even better! We would love to hear from you and put you on our Missouri Baptists Speak Up list. Your views and opinions are valuable to us and your fellow pastors. Reach out to Rob Phillips at rphillips@mobaptist.org. We would love to hear from you!
