From My Desk to Yours

Is your church ready for a capital campaign? Are you? The Stewardship Journal has you covered! We are in the midst of a series called Giving Away the Farm. Throughout the summer, in each edition, we will be giving away all the secrets of stewardship consultants so you can do your own campaign. Here is a preview of this week’s Journal.

Mark Brooks, The Stewardship Coach, starts off this week’s Journal with this comment, “You never have to recover from a good start.”His post, entitled Identifying the Common Mistakes in Project Planning, is written with the goal of a good start in mind. Mark’s vast campaign experience is offered for free, guiding church leaders through the issues that must be addressed well before the public launch of a campaign.

How Long Does It Take to Hold a Capital Campaign? That is the title and question Mark writes about in his Bonus Section. This section of the Journal is always intended to give you practical advice to serve as your do-it-yourself guide.

Our final post, entitled A Question of Timing, deals with knowing whether the timing of your campaign is right. It lists some key factors for your consideration. When it comes to a successful capital campaign, timing is everything! This post will help you be “on time.”

If your church is considering building, renovating, or raising capital dollars, you will not want to miss any issues of the Journal. If you do, remember that all posts are accessible at https://stewardshipjournal.com.

In Jesus’ name!
