Welcome to another edition of the Stewardship Journal.

Did you survive Easter? For pastors, this is an exhilarating day, but it can also be a day leading to great depression. Exhaustion might be the word that comes to mind. This week’s Stewardship Journal addresses the day after Easter.

We begin with another post by long-time MBC pastor Richie Rhea. Richie has written extensively for us, and this week’s post, The Threat That Comes After the Big Day, might be one of his most important. We reached out to Richie a few weeks back and asked him to give a pastoral word to pastors for the day after Easter. I think you will love his encouraging and helpful words.

Mark Brooks’ Stewardship Coach carries on the theme of encouraging pastors after Easter with his column titled 5 Key Post-Easter Strategies to Keep Your Tank Full. Mark gives practical advice on how you need a post-Easter strategy to keep your giving tank full. At the same time, he shares how important rest and relaxation are for a pastor to keep his personal tank full.

Here is a great quote,“Research has shown that first-time donors who receive a personal thank-you within 48 hours are four times more likely to give again.
